Lil Wayne Cough Syrup Addiction: Quincy Jones III Lawsuit

with one comment

Warning flags went up for many people after seeing Lil Wayne’s new documentary film at the Sundance Film Festival, “The Carter” (about the life of Lil Wayne), which inadvertently exposes the gravity of Lil Wayne’s cough syrup addiction.  Though the rumor has been present for years, “The Carter,” apparently, leaves no doubt.  And even though, technically, cough syrup is not illegal, serious health problems are associated with its abuse and addiction.

Apparently, the scandal behind the film, as Lil Wayne’s team of lawyers explains in the lawsuit, is because no final cut of the film was presented to Lil Wayne or his PR people as was agreed under contract.  Basically, if they would have known that the parts of the film showing Lil Wayne’s excessive cough syrup consumption were in the final cut, they probably would never had agreed to its release and pushed for a further edited version for public audiences.  That being said, Quincy Jones III, son of music legend Quincy Jones, is one of the partners named in the lawsuit.  Quincy Jones III is associated with the film’s production company QD3.
