The Massachusetts based treatment center, “Right Turn,” is hosting their 3rd Annual: Super Group charity benefit concert at the Berklee Performance Center on April 26. Right Turn was originally founded by Woody Giessmann, the former drummer of the garage-style, pop band “Del Fuegos,” who is now a certified substance abuse counselor; additionally, Right Turn’s board of trustees includes former “Bad Company” drummer, Simon Kirke. The treatment center is dedicated to helping musicians and other professional artists with substance abuse recovery counseling but certainly extends its services to anyone seeking recovery treatment in the community.

The hope is to raise $100,000, said founder Woody Giessmann, adding “We understand the economy is a little challenging right now, I also understand there is a $14 million loss in [funding to] addiction services.” Amidst concerns that the slumping economy will lead those in hectic situations to consume chemical-dependent substances excessively, Right Turn make the case that financial donations have never been more important.
For those in the Boston are of Massachusetts that are interested in Right Turn’s Super Group Benefit concert, tickets are still available at $40, $75 and $100. For more information, please visit the website: www.right-turn.org
